1839: The citizens of Plzeň decide to establish the Plzeň Brewery.
1839: Construction of the Plzeň Brewery begins.
1842: The “Golden Revolution” marks a historic moment when Josef Groll brews the world’s first golden lager.
1853: Plzeň beer is served at 35 pubs in Prague; by 1856 it reaches Vienna, and by 1862 it arrives in Paris.
